Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the SCOOP platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

SCOOP is a lacrosse player pathway platform providing athlete development tracking, live game scoring, player statistics, scheduling, and AI-powered coaching tools. The Service is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

• You must provide accurate, current information during registration
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account (accounts for younger players must be managed by a parent or guardian)
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purposes. You may not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Upload malicious code, spam, or harmful content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without permission

5. Content and Data

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service (team rosters, game statistics, messages). By submitting content, you grant SCOOP a non-exclusive license to use, display, and process that content as necessary to provide the Service.

Game statistics, standings, and aggregated league data may be displayed publicly as part of the platform's core functionality. Personal contact information is never shared publicly.

6. AI Features

The Service includes AI-powered coaching and analytics features. These features:

• Provide suggestions and insights based on statistical data — they are not a substitute for professional coaching judgment
• May use anonymized, aggregated team data to generate recommendations
• Do not share personally identifiable information with AI providers
• May produce inaccurate or incomplete analysis — use at your own discretion

7. Availability and Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime. We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service unavailability.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SCOOP and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of account termination.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
